Context Report

My context report called ‘A Note Upon The Mystic Writing Pad’ covered three main areas of investigation. The first was Preservation, the second was Layers and the third is Compression. Within each title there were sub sections, which covered in detail the different elements of my project.

My context report focused me into questioning three main areas of interest for the rest of my project.

Is it simply a means of installing a sense of value to a past moment, so that one can return?

Can we keep the information from this layering process, by designing a process of composition to compression?

Can a design capture the wealth of an object through it’s decay, rather than this being a negative accumulation?
