Camera Attachments

I firstly started making different shapes that could create different views of a moment. Objects you can attach onto cameras that distorted or perhaps give you a different viewing platform. I also looked at objects that already gave distorted reflections......


I put a reflective material on the first object, but it didn't really work. The idea is that you can see through to the moment that you are intending to capture but are also getting the moment that is happening behind you.


I then started to experiment with other reflective materials.

As these were supposed to attach onto a camera so that when you take a picture the image is more than you anticipate, I started making the attachments....


These are some of the results.........
You can see what is happening behind me, you just have to work harder to see it...For the person who took the image, they will know what was happening. However for those who aren't there can start to make up the stories of what is occurring.


I like the cross between something in front of you and something from behind you. I also like the idea that the person taking the image is captured in the photo.

I then started to experiment with the different forms and reflections you can get from manipulating the material....
