Cinema Paradiso

Cinema Paradiso is about a man called Salvatore, a successful film director, who returns to his native Sicilian village for the funeral of his old friend Alfredo. He was the projectionist at the local cinema Paradiso where Salvatore spent the happiest times of his childhood and developed his love for film.

......

There is a point in the film where you see the local priest watching all the films, ensuring that all the
bits that could be considered as sexual being deleted, eg the kissing scenes (the optimum, moments). Salvatore asks Alfredo when he was young if one day he could have all the deleted moments. This was forgotten about until Alfredo died and he gives Salvatore a film with all the deleted scenes, all the moments that he missed but had to imagine.

Catch this scene at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEFugVbzsSo....its an amazing film!
