Layers

An experiment that i carried out to physically try and make a palimpsest was by taking photos of the blackboard. Each day that something was rubbed out it would still be there, however it would be a faint mark. Here are just a couple of photos to try and demonstrate this. To try and look at the idea of layers in more detail i took some cross sections of wood. This was to demonstrate the different perspectives you can get with layers. When you look at it from one angle you see one thing, and from another you see something else.
